EPW - Cartier, Paris, rare very thin square hunting case dress watch, 42mm x 42mm, 4.8mm front-to-rear thickness, heavy 18K gold original HC with stylish initials to front, silvered dial, SW-SS, not disassembled to inspect mvt type, no externally visible s#. Gross weight of assembled watch 44.8 dwt (69.7 g). An interesting and rare Cartier piece, the first of this style we have handled.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running after a twist to start, hour and minute hands occasionally catching and stopping watch, overhaul recommended to address this issue, not disassembled to inspect mvt cosmetics; dial nearly flawless in visible portion with few minimal contact marks; nearly mint hands; case shows hardly any wear, numerous fine to micro-fine scratches and mild abrasions to brushed finish of front and rear, some mild small mars to portions of rear seam, case front opens short of 90 degrees (to approximately 70 degrees); tight bow, crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
